VIBRANT stands for Vance Initiates Bringing Resources and Naloxone Training. In 2015, using grant funds from the Health Resource and Services Administration Federal Office and locally from the Triangle North Healthcare Foundation, Project VIBRANT distributed emergency opioid reversal kits to stakeholders in Vance and Granville counties, North Carolina.

Healthcare providers, law enforcement, and other community members received kits and training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. The project also used a community outreach worker to identify and train individuals at risk of overdose on the use of naloxone, delivering door-to-door services free of charge. The VIBRANT Coalition has continued this work.
